Rollrgrrlz Connect
Let’s connect and skate together – that’s the motto of “rollrgrrlz connect” that takes place every last Saturday of the month at @freestylehallezürich
The last edition on 28. october was a hit. Participants from 7 to 49 years learned the basics of street skating. The workshop was designed for beginners, so they got a helping hand by the coaches Annina and Ariane for riding on a transition or doing the first drop-in into a mini ramp. More advanced participants were even grinding on a rail.
Each participant was encouraged to move at their own pace, ensuring a comfortable and enriching learning environment.
Despite the chilly autumn weather, the indoor setting of Freestyle Halle ensured the workshop went on smoothly. Attendees, aged 8 and above, were a mix of women and girls. The event created a supportive space for learning and interaction among like-minded individuals.
The workshop was an initiative by LGC Switzerland, aiming to foster a supportive community for female and non-binary skate enthusiasts. With rental gear available on-site, and special provisions for attendees under 20, the workshop ensured inclusivity and accessibility.
It was not just about mastering the tricks; the emphasis was also on safety and park etiquette. The community feeling, laughter, and the sound of skateboards hitting the floor resonated through the Freestyle Halle, marking the day with the spirit of learning and the joy of skating.
